New hope in New Hope, MN

Houses are just tired sometimes and need some new life. That was the case at this property in New Hope, MN.

Most of the changes were very light cosmetic things. Paint, flooring and new lighting. The kitchen and bathrooms did however get a full makeover bringing them into the current decade.

Take a look!

First impressions are key and this is the room you see right inside the front door. Yes the room was painted but the key to this room was exposing the original hardwood floors under the carpet. Having them refinished added extra glam and shine.

Paint and light fixtures are huge when updating a  house. What I want to point out here too is the lack of carpet in the Dining Room. Carpet in a dining area is a dated look and no one wants carpet under a dining room table anymore. Worth changing if you can.

The kitchen is THE most important room in the house and will make or break any sale. Having an updated kitchen is so important and the Return on Investment is high. Always bring in a professional though so you make the right choices for your investment.

Even if a bath is small it can be functional and feel luxurious!

This full bath got a new vanity and the dated wall tiles were removed. Paint and a new light of course!

My favorite part of the update was the fireplace. I mean really….look at those beautiful beams around it as well as on the ceiling. They were lost in the dark brick and paneling before but now they are showcased.

All houses need new hope once is awhile. What in your house may need a little sprucing up?

Looking to Buy A Stairway to Heaven? Home Staging Minneapolis

You know the song…we all love it. We sang along with Led Zeppelin:

“There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold
And she’s buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh, ooh, and she’s buying a stairway to heaven.”

When we are buying a home we are all basically looking to buy that ‘stairway to heaven’. As you walk up those stairs to the front door of your dream home or as you walk up the stairs to your Master Bedroom retreat.

But would you want to buy this Stairway to Heaven??

Does this stairway give you the impression you are on your way to the Blissful Heaven of your Master Bedroom Suite?

Before

Oh come on…..I dare you. Look at what you will find at the top of the stairs. That perfect ‘En Suite’ that every buyer wants.

No? Not in a hurry to make an offer?

Okay, thank goodness for investors who are ready to take on these projects to make these rundown homes a piece of Heaven for buyers. Or maybe your homes needs a bit of work before it is put on the market?

The process can be made easier and more valuable when someone that knows what a buyer wants is brought in to assist. Bring in a Home Stager to help with the process.

After taking down a couple walls to open things up, moving the entrance of the room to the other side of the stairs to allow for a larger bathroom, plus many cosmetic changes….the Master Bedroom and En Suite took on a whole different feeling. Take a look.

How is this for a space for your bed, dresser and work station?

After Renovation and Home Staging

Perhaps a couple walls removed to open it up and really enjoy that reading area?
