Decorating with Cranberries

I love decorating with fresh elements.  Each year I seem to cut down on my Christmas decorating but I still want to have things that are cheerful for the season.

One of my favorite ways to decorate is with fresh cranberries. It is easy, there are so many options and cranberries are so inexpensive! I just picked up two bags for $1.98 each! And don’t worry, they will last throughout the season as long as your season doesn’t start in October. ūüôā

Cranberries and candles are so pretty together. Have them floating in water or just laying on top of a large bowl of cranberries. Do a small piece for a guest bathroom when entertaining or use them in a large table centerpiece.

If you are a little crafty, pin or glue the cranberries to a Styrofoam tree and add a bow.

Add a little snow to your look with Epsom Salts, another inexpensive item, and a sprig of evergreen. So cute!

Put cranberries in a pretty shaped bowl or in a tray with candles. Add in fresh flowers for a special touch.

So many ideas with one simple yet festive item. Use your imagination and see what you come up with! Have fun and Merry Christmas to you.

Inexpensive and FRESH Centerpieces Ideas for the Holidays

It is a busy time of the year with a lot of entertaining going on and everyone wants their table to look nice. But the time to pull it together is tight and purchasing a centerpiece can be expensive.

Here are a few tips and ideas that are inexpensive and fresh. And when I say fresh I mean FRESH! These can be used for Thanksgiving or Christmas or both!

I love decorating a table with edible items. Nature is full of color and you can eat the items in the centerpiece when you are done.

One easy item is Cranberries.

I just paid $4.00 for two bags of cranberries so they are extremely inexpensive and there are a ton of ways to use them.

Let these pictures be inspiration for you this holiday season.

Let’s add in another food item with lots of texture…..mixed nuts!¬†

And this is one of my favorites that I came up with. Set this on your table for a wonderful centerpiece during your meal but dig in afterwards!

Cranberries Nuts and Oranges

Place the nut cracker right there as part of the centerpiece. Rather than a heavy dessert, encourage your guests to linger after dinner cracking and munching on nuts, eating fresh tangerines or whatever you add.

If you need a quick touch of whimsy elsewhere in your home add cranberries to any bowl, vase or candle holder.

And if you will have a beverage or refreshment station when entertaining, make a centerpiece that again will be useful. Take out a lime to add a squirt to a beverage or an orange for the rim of a glass.

So ¬†look in your pantry and refrigerator¬†to see what you have! Let your creative juices flow……think outside the box.

And please, share your ideas here or post pictures. We can inspire each other!

And most importantly…..may you all have a very peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving and Holiday Season.¬†
